Symbolic Map:
About the project:
The objective of this project was to create a map of your life. For this project I had to think of places with things or persons that are symbolic for me and for my life. I think that this map could also represent my hobbies and what I like because I include lots of things that are really significant in my life. Every place of my map had a different object that help me identify what does the place mean for me.
SYMBOLIC MAP KEY:
World Peninsula:
I made this world peninsula because I like to travel around and I would like to visit a lot of great places around the world.
Movies Ocean:
The movies ocean represent how much I enjoy going to the movies or just staying at home watching a good movie with popcorn and coke.
Family Lake:
I decided to make a family lake to show how much I love and care about my family and how important they are in my life.
Z Forest:
This forest represent how much I would like to compete and be part of the "Cazeria del Zorro" on Ibarra.
Art Pond:
The art pond shows that I like art and that I enjoy spending time creating portraits.
Friendship Volcano:
This volcano is really important and represents how much I love my friends and that they are really important for me. Also that Occupied a very important place in my heart.
Sushi River:
I made a sushi river because it is my favorite food.
Peninsula of Death:
Even though the name of this part of my map is really tragic, I decided to do it because it represents how much I missed my grandma.
Turquoise´s Beach:
When I made this symbolic map I had a turtle called Turquoise with one of my best friends called Maria Elisa.
New Year Desert:
This desert means how much I like spending Holiday and specially New Year with my family.
Gymnastics Valley:
One of my favorite sports is Gymnastics and I used to do it when I made this map so that´s why I use it as a symbol in my map.
Carlitos´Bay:
Represents my dog which I have had seen I was little.
Paris Vacation:
I decided to put this on my map because Paris was the best vacation ever.
Shape:
The shape of my Island is a horse because I love horses and horse back-riding.
Name of the Island:
I decided to name my Island "Cocoa Island" because it is the name of one of my horses in my farm.

Reflection:
I really enjoy making this project and picking symbolic things that later on would be part of my island. I really liked having to think of important things of my life and then thinking of a picture that would demonstrate what I wanted to reflect and show what I wanted to represent. Even tough it was the first time I work with watercolor pencils I had a lot of fun painting with this because it was a new technique that I was able to learn and use. I am really proud of this symbolic map I did.
